About the department

Department of Statistics offers complementary courses to both B.Sc. Mathematics and B. Sc. Physics courses. Statistics being a multidisciplinary subject, the course has been structured in such a manner so as to provide theoretical as well as practical knowledge to students and to make them aware of its applications in various fields of life. Recently, Data Analysis Techniques using Rprogramming, Microsoft Excel has been implemented in the curriculum to enhance the knowledge of students in applied areas.
