About the Department

One of the pioneering departments of this institution established in 1964, the Department of Botany is completing 60 years of a great journey which has influenced the lives of a great many generations in Anchal and beyond. Our faculty and students have been able to successfully tread along the path towards a higher standard of academic excellence through the Star College Scheme funded by the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India and funding under the FIST programme of the Department of Science and Technology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India.

The department provides a programme in B.Sc Botany with Chemistry and Zoology as complementary courses. Our results have always been above par with several students progressing to higher education and employment. We were fortunate to have ranks and receive distinguished awards, including the full bright scholarship.
